Bengaluru: In view of railway bridge work by the Railway Department within the limits of KR Pura Traffic Police Station, vehicular movement on the railway parallel road from Benniganahalli to Kasturinagar will be prohibited for 90 days starting from June 14. To ensure the smooth flow of traffic, the following traffic restrictions are being imposed. Commuters travelling through East Bengaluru are advised to plan their journey carefully.
Restricted Roads:
All types of vehicles traffic will be temporarily restricted on the Coca Cola Godown Road from Benniganahalli (Sadanandanagar Bridge) to Old Madras Road.Alternative routes:
- For vehicles traveling from Old Madras Road Benniganahalli Railway Bridge towards Kasturinagar: Vehicles can take the bypass route via Hebbal Ring Road to reach Kasturinagar.
- For vehicles traveling from Kasturinagar towards Old Madras Road: Vehicles can take the route from Sadanandanagar via NGEF Signal to reach Old Madras Road.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic East), Sahil Bagla, has asked people to follow the new routes and listen to signs and directions given by traffic police during this time.
The railway bridge work is likely to go on for around three months.
