Speaking to Instant Bollywood while at a promotional event, Meera was visibly shaken by the sad news. She shared, “Vicky told me while I was inside... I knew uncle was in the hospital, but I had no idea it was this serious. He was fine earlier, so I don’t know what exactly happened. I’m heading over to find out, but it’s very sad."
Sharing about the family’s bond, Meera added, “They were a very close-knit family. Losing a parent—there’s nothing worse than that. Mannara and Mitali were extremely close to him.”

Mannara and Chopra family issue statement

Raman Rai Handa, aged 72, reportedly passed away in Delhi following a period of ill health. The Chopra and Handa families released an official statement confirming that his funeral will take place in Mumbai on June 18.
“With profound grief and sorrow, we inform the sad demise of our loving father who left us for his heavenly abode on 16/06/2025. He was the pillar of strength for our family,” the statement read.
The final rites are scheduled for 1:00 PM at Crematorium Ground, Amboli, Andheri West, Mumbai.
