Incredibles 3 Locks Peter Sohn As Director, Brad Bird To Write The Sequel

Hey Incredibles fans, here's some good news for you! Makers have finally locked the director for film's third franchise, and it is none other than Elemental and The Good Dinosaur filmmaker Peter Sohn.

Peter is all set to join Brad Bird, who is returning to write the screenplay and produce the film Incredibles 3. Dana Murray to join Bird as co-producer in the sequel.

Peter has voiced characters in Pixar's Ratatouille, Monsters University, and Lightyear earlier. He has also worked on Incredibles and Incredibles 2.

Sohn was mentored by Brad Bird early in his career and is widely respected for his storytelling and animation work. His joining the Incredibles team has left netizens excited as they cannot wait to witness Brad and Sohn's magic together in Incredibles 3.

Many took to social media and shared the happy news on their feed, adding heart-eye and love emojis in the caption.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Incredibles 3 follows married couple Bob and Helen Parr who live in the quiet suburbs with their three children after being forced to hide their superpowers by a new government mandate.

The original Incredibles was released in 2004, followed Mr Incredible and Elastigirl as they navigated life after superheroes were banned. Its sequel, Incredibles 2, came 14 years later in 2018 and at the box office made over 1.2 billion USD globally. Fans have been eagerly waiting for the third part and it's finally time!

The iconic voice cast of Craig T Nelson as Mr Incredible, Holly Hunter as Elastigirl, Sarah Vowell as Violet and Samuel L Jackson as Frozone is expected in part 3.

A release date has not yet been announced yet but, it is much-awaited.
