'Smriti Irani's Kids Were Delivered In Front Of Us': KSBKBT's Apara Mehta Reflects On Close Bond With Cast | EXCLUSIVE

Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi is one of the most iconic shows of Indian television. As the show is returning with season two, Zoom exclusively interviewed Apara Mehta, who essayed the character of Savita Virani. In a candid conversation with us, the actress shared fond memories from the set and reflected on her close bond with the star cast of KSBKBT. Apara Mehta revealed how the entire team of Ektaa Kapoor's show organically became a family.

Reflected on her close bond with Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi team, Apara Mehta said, "A bunch of females, none of us lived in separate rooms. 15 of us would be in the same room, sitting on each other, but not going to other rooms. We were all together. If there was a time where we had to sit for 2 hours, we all would be together. We have done everything. We were so much into each other's lives."

The KSBKBT actress further shared a fond memory and added, "Smriti's (Irani) both kids were delivered in front of us. Kamal's children or some of them good married at that time."

As Apara Mehta continued the chat, she revealed how the mornings of KSBKBT's shoot used to be. "In the make-up room, everyone would be calling up maids or provision stores or cooks and help—someone giving instructions and telling the drivers. Oh my god! It used to be like that. If somebody didn't have a maid, it would become entire Kyunki's (team) problem. It is a very rare thing."

The Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi actress revealed that the women of this show were 'achievers in their own way' even before KSBKBT.

"They all came from extremely cultured backgrounds and were educated. All of us have been like that. We could talk about everything under the sun. There was nothing that we did not discuss. We all realised that we were emancipated and evolved women. We shared everything. We all have positive feelings for each other and that has lasted for 25 years. It's not a joke. We are those kinds of friends who will be there for each other even if someone needs help at midnight. We know that we will stand by each other," she said, and signed off.
